Whatever has happened to you up to this point, whatever genetic or generational influences have followed you, whatever the narcissists and their flying monkeys did, whatever your fourth-grade teacher said, whatever mistakes you’ve made, you can shake off those chains as a decision, an act of the will, the declaration of a one-person country.
The declaration is only the beginning, but where is anything without beginning?
