Humiliated but Hopeful? Burned but Yearning? What to do when moving on feels like giving up on your One Chance at Love.

I have some possible solutions. If you’re willing.

In the Beginning.

You had a Thing with them. Or ALMOST a thing. Maybe you went out, maybe you flirted or texted or something. Stuff went pear-shaped, and it didn’t take you out of the dating rotation the way you had hoped.

Then the second-guessing starts. You’ve evaluating every look, every word, every what-if, for clues about what happened. You imagine them coming back. Or you imagine that they’re just too (shy, damaged, unaware, etc.) whatever to be with you right now. But DEEP DOWN you know they feel the same way.

If you find yourself unable to forget someone, to the point where the intrusive thoughts and fantasies are 24/7 but never lead to a real relationship (even though you are convinced it COULD happen), then read on.

I’m not a medical professional. This is just a journey I know all too well. And if I can spare your dignity and free you up to find your actual person instead of a LO (limerent object), then I’m willing to offer up the fruit of my own embarrassments and humiliations on the altar of the public good.

Adam and Eve? or Lilith?
