tiny signs from God that it will be okay

One of the reasons the Netflix show Manifest has been so popular (despite uneven writing and sometimes annoying characters *coughGracecough*) is that we all need to believe that everything is connected, that we’ve been given clues, and that somehow it will all make sense and be okay eventually.

The characters see constant references to the numbers 828. And they find meaning in everything that happens to them. “All things work together for good” (the part the writers left out says “ to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”).

I know that when I am in flow, connected to God/Spirit, I see numbers, have dreams, hear song fragments, get unexpected phone calls, and have massive synchronicity.

Some cultures, instead of putting their mystics in asylums, honor their intuition and sensitivity and call them “shamans”.

But we all know that if we went public with our weirdness, we’d lose some people, be scorned, be avoided, be labeled.

It’s like being closeted (I think): the people who diss on LGBTQ the hardest are actually afraid of their own orientations. I speak of fundamentalist preachers on Grindr. Ahem. Can I get an Amen?

We all need reassurance. And we can’t always get it from the people we know and/or love.
