I could give two shits about what Mr. Guru says, for multiple reasons. If you want to go burn your feet AND your cash at the same time, while being verbally abused, that’s your choice.
I’ve hired quite a few coaches, probably ten in the past five years. Some good, some meh, some toxic, some terrible. I believe in the power of being present with someone in their situation and showing the way out. I believe coaching is a good thing.
As a coach, I’ve seen miracles, literally. I believe in redemption, healing, turnaround, breakthrough, chains-off freedom, and a fresh start.
But the current climate of toxic positivity, spiritual bypassing, and victim blaming is…nothing new.
Have you heard of Job? In the Bible? The one who lost his kids, his property, and his health?
