Leaving aside your super weak causality, people are presumably grown-ass adults with access to the internet.

Assuming they all got mad and voted for him bc I was too judmentally woke is still showing them in a pretty deplorable light.

So they're 1) literally ignorant/misinformed (it's their culture!), 2) actually evil and complicit, or 3) incredibly petty.

And with actual human lives and rights at stake, letting them of the hook in order to yell at the side that actually self-reflects is short-sighted at best.
