There’s a well-known writer on Medium that I followed until recently.

She took a strident pro-Amber position, and I just…couldn’t.

Does that mean I should turn in my #MeToo card?

Does that mean I was overly swayed by Johnny’s fame? The media circus?

Am I misogynistic towards my fellow women?

When Amber’s claims emerged about Johnny, I was disappointed. But I do try to always take the side of the weak, whether I like them or not.

And I do NOT like her.

I’ll say that up front.

I am almost never surprised by any news of abuse. I grew up in church.

I have my own #MeToo stories.

But I also have extensive experience with toxic females.

And I know a number of men who have been raped and abused.

They are suffering the consequences of it every single day; but they suffer without the support system women have typically given to each other despite patriarchal strongholds blocking them from getting justice.

They are traumatized but also shamed, because men are not supposed to be abuse victims. That’s how it’s been for far too long.
