Certainly, my goal is to check myself and remove all traces of racism when I find it in myself, but to think I have it conquered and can now police everyone else's racism would be delusional.

He may truly believe he is neutral. Fine. So either he's wrong about that, or he's wrong for being neutral in the face of evil.
