Have we ever had more access to news, especially bad news, than we do now?

“If it bleeds, it leads”, as they say.

And it does bleed.

Are there problems? BIG problems?

Absolutely.

But are there millions of good, decent, quiet, skilled, determined people working on every conceivable problem every single day?

YES, dammit. And thank God for them. For you. For us.

My coach reminds me that it’s hard to create when I’m panicking about something or other. I have to achieve stasis before I can move forward the best way possible.

I think if we are constantly told that everything is hopeless and we’re all going to die, then we get overloaded and just want to hide under the covers.

Or jump off something tall.

What if we focused HARD on the stuff we care about that we have a certain amount of skill doing? Plus a little of other people’s stuff, to take up some slack.

I can’t do what I do PLUS save the whales, the rescue animals, the climate, and the Syrian refugees. Not all the time. I can give as I’m able, advocate as…
