Derrick Jaxn, the very handsome dating “expert” who did helpful and entertaining videos from his car and won the hearts of millions of us who hoped there would be a guy like him out there for us somewhere, is a cheater.

Not just a cheater. A serial cheater.

Not just a serial cheater, but the kind who made his wife go onto a bizarre video with him, and who clutched her hand ferociously like a worried kidnapper while her hurt and embarrassment were palpable.

The kind who spoke of himself in the third person.

I had stopped watching his videos a long time ago. I wasn’t really in need of them at the time, since I wasn’t dating and I was healing from a narcissistic relationship myself.

Also, there were red flags.

One: he had a series of extraordinarily attractive women appear with him in video after video. I got curious as to whether he was single or not, so I checked.

He was not.

But his wife was nowhere to be seen. I’m guessing he felt his brand, his appeal, was more marketable coming from a single guy.
