As someone who knows a brilliant Gen Z who has struggled with mental illness, meds can cause this.
There's still a lot of stigma attached to mental health issues: and the girl may be trapped between taking the meds to stay "okay" enough to keep a job (even though they cause intense lethargy), and not taking them, which could mean hospitalization and/or suicidal ideation.
There are MANY Gen Z who are not okay right now. They are smart, hard-working, stressed, terrified about the future, working 2-3 jobs to pay rent, and navigating the labels older generations have placed on them.
They mask their issues very hard and would prefer to look lazy than to stop taking their meds.
Of course, you may be right and she's just another Gen Z "princess", but I belive in Gen Z.
Was there some motive for reducing all your female coworkers to their appearance (butch, pretty, etc.) in this article? Is this an anti-DEI rant?
