By now, most of us who grew up hard-core in church know how fucked up we are (or were). Awareness of trauma from religion is widespread, or at least among those who are willing to look at it honestly.
Unfortunately, a wide swath of “religious” people still exists and, even more unfortunately, many of these people are politically active. Also, they are dumb as fuck.
They don’t mean to be. I didn’t mean to be, back when I was filled with idiotic fervor.
That’s a whole different subject, so I’m already getting off-track. Sorry.
